The Community Service Medal is struck to commemorate community service by volunteers and paid staff of all persuasions and all walks of life in a vast array of community service roles. The award of this commemorative medal could recognise selfless service over an extended period of time as well as individual single acts of achievement on behalf of others, and/or to recognise direct support and involvement in community activities. Ideal as a presentation for service, to recognise contributions and commitment, or to show appreciation for a job well done. The Community Service Medal is a tangible way to show appreciation for effort.

Examples of volunteer community service include but are not limited to;
  • Community organisation volunteers and staff
  • Cadet group officers and instructors
  • Hospital and first aid volunteers
  • Hotline and counselling volunteers
  • Police, emergency services and security officers and staff
  • Sports association officers, coaches, leaders and programme volunteers
  • Volunteer instructors, mentors and teachers
  • Volunteer and rural fire and emergency services
  • Volunteer nurses and aides
  • Youth organisation leaders
  • Any instance of service to the public or commmunity at large that deserves recognition; it's also an ideal retirement or end-of-engagement gift or presentation.
  • Privately-struck, the medal has been die-struck in full 3D brass and available in two finishes; nickel or silver plate, the obverse featuring the words COMMUNITY SERVICE and a laurel wreath and one hand reaching for another in full detail. The reverse is left as a plain engraving panel topped by a spray of wattle and gum nuts. The diameter is 36mm, and the thickness is 3mm. The riband is olive green and gold. Gold signifying the sunshine effect that community service volunteers bring to a myriad of projects and organisations, and olive green for the growth those efforts provide. The medal is also available in a presentation set of a swing-mounted full-size and miniature medal and ribbon bar in a stylish black velvet special purpose case.

    If you're looking for a high-quality, tangible way to recognise anyone's contribution to your community sector then here's an ideal solution for you.
