The Remington 870 is the standard-issue shotgun in service with the Australian Defence Force. It is a pump-action, tubular-magazine-fed, 12-gauge repeating shotgun, capable of a high rate of fire with an effective range of 100 metres. The Remington 870 shotgun is generally used onboard with Royal Australian Navy patrols and in RAAF Airfield Defence Squadrons.

If the Model 870™ were introduced today, it would be hailed as a major advance in pump-action shotgun design - the ultimate in strength, durability, silky-smooth bind-free action, and sleek classical lines. Yet this remarkable shotgun has been around for almost half a century, and has become the best-selling shotgun of any type in history, with over nine million made. The 870 features a bottom-loading, side ejecting receiver, tubular magazine under the barrel, dual action bars, internal hammer, and a bolt which locks into an extension in the barrel. The action, receiver, trigger system, safety catch and slide release catch of the Remington Model 870 shotgun are similar to those used on the Remington Model 7600 series pump-action centrefire rifles and carbines. 20 gauge stocks will also interchange. Several parts of the 870 will interchange with the semi-automatic Remington model 1100 and 11-87. Please Note: A deposit of 50% is deducted from your card at the time of ordering, the remaining balance is deducted at time of shipment.

These are high-quality, hand-crafted moulded resin reproductions of popular military/law enforcement style weapons, made in Australia. Ideal for mess trophies or personal mementos. Each reproduction is hand cast from quality moulds. Every scratch and dent on the real weapon is reproduced, and reproductions are framed. Bayonet is also available. No metal parts, only one side of the weapon is reproduced for mounting. Weapons Plaques are made to order, and this picture is for illustration purposes only. Each of these framed collections is painstakingly hand-made and finished so please allow at least 3-4 weeks for design and creation. You can pick up your completed frame at our North Ryde, Sydney gallery, or Joondalup in Perth. Sorry; but due to the lack of care by couriers and transporters (and we have now tried four national carriers) we can no longer ship frames direct. Your local legislation on purchasing facsimiles of weapons may vary. Please check with your local authorities prior to ordering.

The weapon replica is supplied in two versions; either a plaque or fully-framed shadow box with a glass front, a basic backing mat of the colour of your choice is included in the plaque version, with a border top mat also supplied in the glassed, shadow box version. Any other backgrounds or accoutrements to be included in frames is supplied by the client.

When it comes to design; we've had many years of experience and all our framers are ex-military - we understand precision. Generally we mock up multiple designs until we create one for your memorabilia that we're happy enough to sign our name to - consequently it's just not possible to have a design previewed before it's done. All our customers for over twelve years have trusted us to create a design that works with the kit we have, and although we have a standard offer on the table to re-make any frame a client is not happy with - we've never had to re-make a single frame.

Question: Are these real weapons that have been de-activated?
Answer: No. They are solid resin copies of real weapons, and every scratch, dent and serial number is faithfully reproduced.

Question: Are there any metal parts?
Answer: The reproductions do not contain any metal parts other than the mounting bolts.

Question: Can they be made to work?
Answer: No. Under no circumstances can these solid resin copies be made to load, cock or fire. There are no working parts whatsoever.

Question: Do you make the other half so I can join them together?
Answer: No. Only one side of the weapon is reproduced.

Question: How much is handling and shipping on these?
Answer: Freight on these generally runs between $65-$128 depending on cubic weight of package and your location. It will be added to your order regardless of the postage option you choose.plaque.
