  • Privately-struck, the medal has been die-struck in full 3D brass and available in bright nickel plate, the obverse features a wreath surrounding a flame and emergency services symbol and the suspender has a federation star in full detail. The reverse is left as a plain engraving panel topped by a spray of wattle and gum nuts. The diameter is 38mm, and the thickness is 3mm. The riband is red, white, green, orange and dark blue. Orange and blue signifying emergency services, green and white for ambulance, and blue and red for fire services.
